Obituary - Renan Uflacker
Dr. Renan Petrucci Uflacker
Dr. Renan Uflacker passed away a little after noon yesterday, Sunday, June 12. He was an instrumental force in leading MUSC forward over the past two decades. This work, in addition to all he did at the national and the international level, helped the field of Vascular and Interventional Radiology become an essential component of modern medical care.
But more than that, to those who worked most closely with him, he was a friend. In academic medicine we often categorize our associates by their scientific and medical achievements and the weight of their CV, but the true measure of a man is found elsewhere. Renan was a loving husband and father to one of the nicest families you could ever hope to meet. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Below is a link to his obituary from today’s paper.
